Bolt To Offer 70% Discount To Customers In Kumasi

Monday, 6th June 2022 – Bolt riders in Kumasi are set for a period of mega discounts after the leading ride-hailing platform announced that all new riders in Kumasi can enjoy a 70% discount on their first ride using the names of some popular areas in the city as Promo Code. The names of the promo codes for the campaign include Asokwa, Ahodwo, Adum, Kejetia, Asafo, Bantama, Ejisu, Oseikrom and Kentikrono as promo codes.

To activate your promocode on the Bolt app, users must first download the Bolt app from Google play store or Apple Appstore. They should then proceed to sign up which doesn’t take more than a few minutes. After they have signed up successfully, they should tab on the three horizontal lines at the top left-hand side of the home screen of the Bolt app, then tab on Promotions and enter one of the promo codes mentioned above.

Making the announcement, David Kotei Nikoi, Country Manager at Bolt in Ghana, said, “At Bolt, our primary mission is to make urban mobility accessible, quicker and more reliable. The Bolt app is easy to use. Riders can simply download the app from Google Play or the iOS App store and set up a user profile. Once a rider is ready for a ride, passengers can open the app and set their location and intended destination. The app then gives an estimated cost for the trip, and once a passenger requests a ride, the app alerts drivers nearby, who then proceed to accept the ride. First time riders can unlock their 70% discount using promo codes with the names of Asokwa, Ahodwo, Adum, Kejetia, Asafo, Bantama, Ejisu, Oseikrom and Kentikrono they live in.

STEP 1: On your bolt app; Tap on the three horizontal lines at the top left corner

STEP 2: Tap on promotions

STEP 3: Tap on promo code

STEP 4: Enter the promocode and press apply

For passengers’ safety and security, once a driver accepts the ride, passengers are provided with the driver’s details including their name, photo, car model and registration number to help the rider double check the details provided before joining. Also, the app helps to track the driver’s movement in real time and riders can equally share their trip details using the Share your ETA function on the app.

Bolt encourages all riders within the urban areas of Kumasi mainly Asokwa, Ahodwo, Adum, Kejetia, Asafo, Bantama, Ejisu and Kentikrono areas to participate in the promotion.
