A university don, is calling on the elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to start biting harder at other contestants making damning allegations against the sitting vice President.
He claims that to say vice President Bawumia is receiving funds from an Islamic group in Nigeria, could spark a political and religious war in the country if not dealt with immediately.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Dr. Solomon Forkuo indicated that after analysing certain comments from some of the NPP presidential aspirants, he has come to a realization that it is not helping the party.
“To say the vice President is receiving funds from a group in Nigeria, it is very damning because you are fusing politics and religion”, he said.
“It is very dangerous, why do you want to go that tangent? This is an innocent person doing his job” he stated as he called on some of the aspirants to be very careful and vigilant.
David Humdeyin, a journalist in Nigeria is alleging without providing any form of evidenct that the Bawumia Campaign is being funded by some Islamic group in Nigeria called the ACF.
