Be Disciplined On The Road- Law Students Advised
Students of the Ghana School of Law have been advised against parading themselves as lawyers, misbehaving towards police amongst other forms of misconduct that might not inure to their professional good.
The advise was delivered by Mrs. Marie-Louise Simmons; Vice President of the Ashanti Regional Branch of the Ghana Bar Association during the maiden induction ceremony of first year professional law students at the Ghana School of Law, Kumasi campus.
ACTING DIRECTOR OF LAW SCHOOL:
For his part, the Ag. Director of Legal Education and Ghana School of Law; Mr. Maxwell Opoku-Agyeman emphasized the significantly high intake into the Ghana School of Law this academic year; a situation he says is overstretching facilities at all campuses of the school.
He revealed that currently, a “triple class system” is being operated to help contain the situation.
He appealed for help towards the development of more academic facilities at the Law Village at Legon to enable the school to carry on with academic work in subsequent years.
HIGH COURT JUDGE:
Justice Kofi Akrowiah, Supervising High Court Judge in the Ashanti region, advised the students at length to live by the codes of conduct and ethics of the legal profession and also take their studies seriously.
Inducted students of the Ghana School of Law-Kumasi Campus
A total of 171 students were officially inducted to pursue professional law courses at the Kumasi campus.
