With the introduction of the credit score system in Ghana, the likes of Dangote, Elon Musk and Bill Gates will abound, Chairman Wontumi has said.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s plan to implement a credit rating system in Ghana.
In an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wonntumi stated that as soon as the scheme is operationalized in Ghana “business people are going to have so much money”.
He continued that Ghana will produce “so many Dangotes here, we will have the likes of Elon Musk and Bill Gates here”.
Chairman Wontumi added that this can only be achieved if Dr. Bawumia is voted in as President in 2024.
Bawumia announced the proposal for a personalized credit scoring system in Ghana earlier this year during his initial policy address.
He has since been elaborating on its potential during his campaign tours, including possible methods for purchasing mobile phones on credit from telecom companies and paying in instalments through the credit scoring system.
