The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu, has confidently declared that Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win the upcoming presidential election “at all cost”.
Speaking at the launch of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) held in Bekwai , Hon. Osei Owusu told a cheering crowd to rally support for the NPP and Dr. Bawumia.
He said the NPP Government is poised in transforming the lives of Ghanaians through positive Policies and Programmes, adding that “If we are all happy for what we see today, it’s an idea of a good government and what you can do in return is to vote massively for them to keep bringing policies that will impact all”.
The First Deputy Speaker dismissed concerns about the funds of the essential equipment “NDC from Mills to Mahama have never thought of this initiative, parliament never approved funds for DRIP, It’s the idea of the NPP to make sure every road in Ghana gets a face lift”
The crowd erupted in cheers and chants of “Bawumia Niee, Lawyer Ralph Niee!” as the Second Deputy Speaker presented the Paliamentary Candidate for Bekwai, Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusie to Nananoom and the audience. Lawyer Ralph, who was visibly moved by the show of support, thanked the crowd and promised to work tirelessly to justify the trust placed in him.
The declaration by the Second Deputy Speaker and MP for Bekwai has sent a strong signal that the party is united behind Dr. Bawumia and Ralph Poku Adusie’s candidature and are ready to work towards a decisive victory in the next election.
The launch was attended by top party officials, including the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako AKA Chairman Wontumi.
