A former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Kwabena Adjei Agyepong has described the 2024 presidential ticket of his party as a fantastic one that has taken away a “weapon” from the National Democratic Congress.
The respected member of the NPP stated on Wontumi TV that the NDC used to use tribal statements as a weapon against his party.
With emergence of Dr. Bawumia as the flagbearer of the NPP and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka Napo as his running mate, Kwabena Adjei Agyepong stated that the NDC “can’t go to the Zongos and say NPP don’t like northerners”.
He further explained that the pairing of Dr. Bawumia to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has made it impossible for the NDC to go offensive on the NPP using tribal sentiments.
“We have a fantastic opportunity to win this election. It is a strong ticket not only for Ashanti region. We have taken the NDC’s weapon from them. They used to call us Ashanti people’s party and it worked against us”, he said as monitored by Wontumionline.com.
