Banda Election Petition: Court Has Not Ruled In Favour Of Ahmed Ibrahim

The good people of Banda and the entire Ghanaian populace are being urged to ignore reports making rounds that the Sunyani High Court has ruled in favour of Ahmed Ibrahim.

In a press release sighted by Wontumionline.com, it asked the people of Banda to ignore such reports since the court has not made any determination about the Banda election petition.

‘The case is still pending at the Sunyani High Court,’ the release signed by the CEO, Middle Belt Development Authority, Joe Danquah emphasized.

Below is the full release….

#IMMEDIATE RELEASE #

Reports reaching me indicate that Ahmed Ibrahim is embarking on a thank you tour at Banda.

Citizens at Banda are being told that the election petition before the Sunyani High Court has been ruled in favour of Ahmed Ibrahim.

Contingent on that he is touring to offer thanks to the people of Banda.

This is untrue and a calculated attempt to deceive the good people of Banda.

The election petition is pending at the High Court, Sunyani.

God willing our next court date is 04/06/21.

At the last Court sitting he was represented by one Danis, Regional Secretary of NDC, Bono.

It is very interesting and funny that after the court’s sitting Ahmed ran to Banda to embark on a thank you tour.

It is one of those tricks he has been playing on the good people of Banda.

I assure you that this time it won’t work.

Please, everybody should exercise patience while we wait for the determination of the case by the High Court.

The battle is still the Lord’s!

Joe Danquah
CEO, Middle Belt Development Authority
