Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has used in excess of $4.2 million since 2021 on first class health treatment for cancer and for his luxurious travels abroad.
- He has travelled to Dubai and other places more than 25 times and each trip costs the state an average of $170,000. The records are all there at Parliament and we expect Manasseh and other journalists to use the Right to Information law to access them! This includes first class tickets for himself and his spouse (sometimes, side chicks), domestic and office staff, and he stays in five star hotels for at least a week. One time he was away for almost a month and flew his staff there to run his office there at a total cost of $337,450.00 to Ghanaian taxpayers.
- Just last week, Bagbin went to the United States after adjourning sitting indefinitely to receive a bogus award arranged by the MP for Madina, Sosu, from a small and insignificant association.
- He took per diem and boarded Emirates First Class with his team (at the cost of you the taxpayer) to attend to the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) hosted by the Parliament of New South Wales, Australia from 3 to 8 November 2024. He got to Dubai and decided not to continue. He and the Ghanaian delegation he led did not show up to vote in Australia at the CPC.
- He took the per diem from Ghana to Australia, stopped at Dubai, faked ailment and returned to adjourn the House. After that he flew First Class to America.
- Yes, Alban Bagbin has used over $4 million of state funds for his travels, foreign treatment and luxurious living in five star hotels with his wife, girlfriends and domestic and office staff since 2021.
- All Hail King Bagbin of the Kingdom of Parliament!
