Assin North: NDC Coaching Gyakye Quayson To Cry At Campaign Grounds; They Don’t Have Any Message- Nana Poku Frefre

Chairman Wontumi To Once Again Decide The Regional Executive Members Of The NDC
  • Nobody has physically assaulted the embittered James Gyakye Quayson but he only storms campaign grounds with no message but with only tears in his eyes-Nana Poku Frefre.

A Political Assistant to the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Poku Frefre, has exposed the plan of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to use sorrowful messages and tears to win over the hearts of delegates at Assin North.

Nana Poku Frefre asserted that “they (NDC) don’t have any message, so they are preaching sympathy”.

According to the NPP man, the NDC might be “beating their own candidate (James Gyakye Quayson) behind the scenes” and forcing him to meet people in public with “teary eyes”.

“Nobody has done anything to him but when you see him campaigning he is only crying, so we don’t know what they are doing to him”, Nana Poku Frefre said.

In an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, Nana Poku Frefre stated that the NDC is strategizing on making James Gyakye Quayson look like he is a victim who needs the people’s support in the impending elections.

But it must be stressed and put on record that Parliament, through its Clerk, declared the Assin North Parliamentary seat vacant on May 30, following the Supreme Court’s ruling on the eligibility of James Gyakye Quayson in occupying the Assin North seat.

The Supreme Court, by a unanimous decision on May 17, ordered Ghana’s Parliament to expunge the name of James Gyakye Quayson from its records as the Member of Parliament for the Assin North constituency.
