The Ashanti Regional Chairman Of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Popularly known as Chairman Wontumi) has disclosed that the NDC was actively involved in money sharing to convince residents of Assin North for votes during last Tuesday’s by-election conducted in the area.
Chairman Wontumi Speaking in an interview on Wontumi Privilege Morning show, the Ashanti regional chairman revealed that the NDC through their ways and means to win the by-election disbursed monies to the electorate around the catchment areas of Assin north to win the heart of the people and their votes as well
Responding to a report from the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO), Chairman Wontumi stated that some section of the coalition’s report that indicates the sharing of money by the NPP was falsely presented because he glimpsed the NDC distributing monies to electorate hence CODEO should not single out the NPP as the only party that necessitated monetization in the just ended by-election.
