Ashanti Regional MMDCEs Nominees Commend Chairman Wontumi, Regional Minister
THE ASHANTI REGIONAL MMDCES NOMINEES COMMEND CHAIRMAN WONTUMI AND THE ASHANTI REGIONAL MINISTER FOR THEIR ENORMOUS ROLES PLAYED IN ENSURING PEACE AND HARMONY IN THE REGION.
We would like to express our outmost gratitude to Chairman Wontumi, known in private life as Mr Bernad Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP and Hon Simon Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, who doubles as head of REGSEC for their salient roles played in ensuring peace and harmony in the Region, since the names of the President’s nominees for the MMDCES came to light.
This has become necessary to react on, since unlike the other places which has unfortunately witnessed a series of unrest following the announcement of the nominees names by the Hon minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon Dan Botwe, the Ashanti region is of exception in these unfortunate instances, hence the need for us to commend these two key personalities who steers the affairs of both the party and government in the Region for their important roles played in ensuring peace and harmony in the Region, we are most grateful Honourables.
To this end, we would like to thank the President and his Able team once again for keeping trust in the nominees, and we by this piece assuring Mr President of our readiness to contribute our quota in making sure his dream of making Ghana a better place to live, through the strengthening of the local governance systems to be achieved.
We are at this juncture, wishes all nominees the best of luck in their bid to get the final approval from the various Assembly members in their respective areas as the law demands.
