Ashanti Region Is Discouraged, Bring Back The Love- Kusi Boafo Charges Gov’t Appointees
Acting Chief Executive Officer of Public Sector Reforms, Mr Thomas Kusi Boafo has revealed that NPP members and the people in the Region are discouraged.
He explained that they are discouraged because of the number of votes the main opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) chalked in the 2020 elections.
He told Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show that the NDC manged to reduce the vote margin to 600,000 in the Region.
Mr. Kusi Boafo divulged that the total votes the NDC obtained in the remaining fiftteen Regions have climbed from 113,000 to 625,000.
According to him, it is a clear indication that in the next three consecutive elections, the main opposition party will continue to dominate in those Regions.
“NDC is very powerful in the fifteen Regions and if we are not vigilant, they will lead us with one million votes,” he affirmed.
Mr. Kusi Boafo stressed that, the onus rest squarely on the shoulders of the appointees in the Region to bring back the love the people had for the NPP.
“Ashanti Region is the strong hold of the party and as a matter of fact anybody who cannot bring back the love must be axed,” he said.
He said that, “if they are not sacked, their actions will bring a serious calamity to the party.”
