Constituency Secretaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have pledged their unwavering support and commitment to the candidature of Hon. Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, declaring their readiness to work together to secure his election as the next Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party.
The commitment was made during an engagement between Dr. Kokofu and constituency secretaries and their deputies in Kumasi at the DMB Office where he outlined his vision, strategy and roadmap for rebuilding the NPP in the Ashanti Region.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the party’s grassroots administrators to engage directly with the Regional Chairman hopeful on the challenges confronting the party and the way forward.
Dr. Kokofu, in presenting his vision, emphasised the need for unity, effective grassroots mobilisation, strong communication and a renewed sense of purpose within the party.
He argued that the NPP must reposition itself, reconnect with its grassroots and strengthen its organisational structures if it is to mount a formidable campaign for victory in the 2028 general elections.
The engagement, according to, offered a clear sense of direction and renewed confidence about the future of the party in the region.
Dr. Kokofu’s message centred on rebuilding the party from the grassroots, empowering constituency structures and ensuring that party executives at all levels are adequately supported to deliver victory.
Speaking on behalf of the constituency secretaries, the Dean of Constituency Secretaries, Hon. Asare Brew, who is the Manso Nkwanta Constituency Secretary, commended Dr. Kokofu for what he described as a clear, practical and forward looking message.
He said the secretaries had carefully listened to his vision and were convinced that his leadership could provide the renewed direction the NPP needs in the region.
Hon. Asare Brew pledged the commitment of the constituency secretaries and their deputies to support Dr. Kokofu’s bid, stressing that they would mobilise across the region to secure the necessary support for his election as the next Regional Chairman.
He declared that the constituency secretaries were prepared to lead the crusade to rescue, rebuild and reposition the NPP in the Ashanti Region, insisting that victory in 2028 would require strong, firm grassroots structures, unity and purposeful chairman like Kokofu’s leadership.
The meeting therefore ended with a renewed commitment to work collectively toward a stronger and more organised NPP capable of returning to power in 2028.
