Former Executive Director of Enviromental Protection Agency (EPA), Dr. Kwabena Kokofu, has declared that Ashanti-NPP led by Bernard Antwi Boasiako is determined to ensure that NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia becomes the next President.
“Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a “destiny son” and a leader ordained by God”, he said.
The former Bantama MP vowed that the party would replicate the region’s successful campaign strategies that propelled former Presidents Kufuor and Nana Addo to power. The recent overwhelming turnout during Dr. Bawumia’s tour of the region is a testament to his growing popularity.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV, Dr. Kokofu revealed that the massive crowds that followed Dr. Bawumia were only a fraction of the supporters who wanted to attend, as many were prevented from showing up because the level of support for Dr. Bawumia is so high that it could have led to a stampede.
To capitalize on this momentum, he noted that after the Flagbearer’s tour of the region, Chairman Wontumi and the party executives in the region, has launched a decentralization program aimed at mobilizing the youth to rally behind Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy.
This initiative will provide a platform for young people to interact with the Vice President, share their concerns, and be inspired by his vision for Ghana’s future.
“As the constituency tour of the Flagbearer approaches, the Ashanti Region is poised to play a crucial role in Dr. Bawumia’s quest to become the next President of Ghana. With the region’s support and the blessing of the party’s leadership, Dr. Bawumia’s destiny as a leader ordained by God is slowly unfolding,” he added.
