Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior could leave the Gunners just a year after joining the Premier League club after it emerged that manager Mikel Arteta won’t block a move to AC Milan.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan have made Kiwior ‘priority’ ahead of the January transfer window, and Arteta won’t stand in the player’s way should he express his desire to join the Serie A giant.
Kiwior signed for Arsenal from Italian side Spezia last January.
But with first-choice centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes maintaining their budding partnership, the Poland international has found minutes hard to come by.
The report added that AC Milan would prefer a permanent transfer for the 23-year-old but are open to the prospect of securing an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy him.
Kiwior has made a total of 19 appearances since joining the North London club.
He was subbed off after 64 minutes during Arsenal’s last Premier League 4-3 win at Luton in mid-week.
His lack of game at Arsenal has prompted talk of a possible departure in the upcoming January transfer window.
