Apegya Chief Comments: Afigya Kwabre South DCE Refutes Allegations Against The Assembly

The Afigya Kwabre South District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr Christian Adu-Poku has debunked the allegations made by the Apegya Chief of depriving his community of development projects.

Nana Owusu Peprah, the Apegyahene while speaking at a durbar, lamented that “The Assembly distributed lights to the surrounding communities but left out Apegya because they consider me as a member of the opposition NDC as well as claims that my roads are very bad. It’s false, they just hate me”

Reacting to the allegations, the DCE said “the accusation contains no iota of truth.”
Hon Adu-Poku explained that “Apegya has been one of the major beneficiaries of the siting of assembly’s projects.” The DCE who produced visual evidence to substantiate his defense explained.

The DCE refuted the allegations and said “It’s unfortunate such comments would come from a well- respected chief in the person of the Apegya hene.

He added that, “the Kufuor-Nana Addo administrations have performed better in catering for Apegya than the JJ, Mills and Mahama’s eras all brought together.. I can confidentially, say that the NPP has contributed to Apegya’s developmental growth when compared to other communities.”

He also confirmed that “several bags of cement, school bags, modern toilets, boreholes and many others have been provided the Apegya community.”
