Amidu wasn’t a real man and found comforting in making excuses, Koku Anyidoho has said and advised his successor not to do same.

CEO of the Atta Mills Institute, Samuel Koku Anyidoho has charged Mr. Kissi Agyebeng not to emulate the ways of his predecessor when it comes to discharging his duties as Special Prosecutor.

Mr. Anyidoho who is a former deputy General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stated on Wontumi TV that he believes Mr. Kissi Agyebeng is cut for the new role President Akufo-Addo has mandated him to do.

In assessing the work of Mr. Martin Amidu, Mr. Anyidoho described him as a coward who always found comfort in excuses rather focusing on his job as Special Prosecutor.

“Martin Amidu occupied that office but was always complaining and eventually left the job behind. Let’s pray Kissi Agyebeng doesn’t come and complain like Martin Amidu did… Real men deal with difficulties and become achievers”, he said whilst assessing Martin Amidu’s time in office.

Mr. Anyidoho also opposed calls by some people that Mr. Kissi Agyebeng should not be made Special Prosecutor due to his age.

According to him, Kissi Agyebeng has demonstrated in his private life that despite being young, age would not limit him in performing his duties.

“Our constitution makes it clear that once you are 40 years and above and of sound mind, you can be President of Ghana. If this provision is there, why can’t it apply to a special prosecutor?” he quizzed.

He mentioned that if Mr. Agyebeng has been called to the bar, enrolled by the General Legal Council, he doesn’t believe the role assigned him would be too big for him to handle.
