Alan’s Numbers Were Disappointing…We Expected 200-300 Votes- Mpraeso MP

A staunch member of Hon. Alan Kyerematen’s campaign team, Hon. Davis Opoku, has admitted that they put up a poor show in the just ended Special Delegates Conference which saw candidate Bawumia emerge victorious.

Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, the Mpraeso Member of Parliament stated that they were looking forward to get 200 to 300 votes but failed to achieve it which left them disappointed.

Former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen placed third in the New Patriotic Party Super Delegates Congress which was held on Saturday, August 26.

Mr. Kyerematen polled 95 votes representing 10.82% of the total votes cast.

“The numbers that came in were not the numbers we were looking for. We expected 200 to 300 of the votes, so we had to go back to the drawing board and investigate”, Hon. Davis Opoku said.

He continued by noting that “the disappointment was there” but spoke out that “I was not expecting Alan to win the super delegates conference”.
