Dr. Samson Anoma is calling on Trade Minister, Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten to quickly issue a statement and distance himself from the controversial comments made by his ardent follower Mr. Hopeson Adorye during the ‘Aduru Woso’ health walk.
Mr. Adorye is reported to have said during the walk that “The NPP has a tradition. Our tradition is Busia, Danquah and Dombo. Danquah represents Eastern Region and the bottom (south), Danquah represents Ashanti Region and the Bono areas, while Dombo represents Northern Region. The Dombos are always in the mix and fit as running mates to either a Danquah candidate or a Busia candidate. That tradition must continue.”

Addressing the issue on Wontumi TV, Dr. Anoma insisted that if Mr. Kyeremanten doesn’t issue a statement to condemn the comment, “it will affect” his Presidential ambition.
“If I were him, I would have issued a press statement to distance myself from the comment. In the event he (Alan) wins as presidential candidate and he decides to go for a northerner, that person wouldn’t get support at all”, Dr. Anoma remarked.
He continued that the expression by Hopeson Adorye, would haunt Mr. Kyeremanten for a very long time if he doesn’t disassociate himself from it.
