“Akufo-Addo Will Swear To Ghanaians, Not To NDC” – Chief’s Message For NDC
A prominent Chief, Nana Oteatuoso Kokoben II has said that indications that the NDC will boycott the swearing-in of President Akufo-Addo on January 7, will take nothing away from its spledour, pomp and pageantry and neither can they subvert any aspect of the process which many Ghanaians at home and abroad are yearning for.
According to him, Nana Akufo-Addo will swear to Ghanaians and not to the NDC and their absence from the historic occasion can easily be ignored rendered irrelevant. ..
Speaking on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show, Nana Oteatuoso indicated that, he would be surprised and disappointed to see the NDC members attending the Swearing-in ceremony of President Akufo-Addo.
“I’m optimistic that, the they will as well boycott the vetting of appointee Ministers .” He said
This comes as a response to a comment by some NDC members that they will boycott the inauguration ceremony of President Akufo-Addo.
Nana Oteatuoso further stated that, he expects the NDC MPs to boycott Parliamentary sittings until President Akufo-Addo completes his tenure in 2024.
“They will disgrace themselves if they go to Parliament.” He predicted
Nana Oteatuoso urged the NDC members to ask for where Jesus Christ is and go there because their hullabaloo won’t wash.
“We are sick and tired of the nonsensical behavior the NDC is putting up.” He said
He stressed that, “Nana Akufo-Addo will be sworn-in as the next President and nothing can change what God has put together.”
