Akufo-Addo Will Fix The Country- Akua Donkor
Founder and Leader of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor, has urged Ghanaians to exercise patience because President Akufo-Addo will fix the country.
According to her the country was already in a mess long before NPP assumed office.
In an exclusive interview with wontumionline’s Nana Owusu Achiaw, Madam Akua Donkor, indicated that, a section of Ghanaians should get attitudinal change in order for the country to be fixed as well.
“God has blessed us with fertile lands. Is up to us to also make good use of it,” she said
What started as a social media campaign under #FixTheCountry is turning into a full-fledged movement propelled by predominantly young Ghanaians calling for better living conditions.
The social media initiative started to leave cyberspace and took first steps in the analog world.
Among the new movement’s demanded were more jobs, no corruption, fewer taxes, and better education.
Ernesto Yeboah of the activist Group, Economic Fighters League, said that the present movement came about out of a feeling among the youth of not being heard by those in charge of the country. “We are hungry. Things are bad. Things are difficult. Life is tough. And it doesn’t make the headlines.”
