“Akufo-Addo is too lenient on former President John Mahama, he could’ve been jailed for numerous corruptions he’s involved in,” says the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako.
He said President Akufo-Addo is too lenient towards Mahama, noting that his administration was marred by corruption and mismanagement, but Akufo-Addo has shown sympathy to hold him accountable and prosecuted.
Chairman Wontumi cited several examples of alleged wrongdoing by the Mahama administration, including corruption scandals and mismanagement of state resources.
“He is the same John Mahama that his former boss, late professor Mills set up a committee to investigate him of corruption”
Additionally, he noted that Mahama’s government was notorious for its corruption and mismanagement,” stressing “but Akufo-Addo has chosen to let him off the hook, instead of making him face the consequences of his actions.”
Chairman Wontumi’s comments come amidst a heated political campaign tour to the Edjisu Constituency.
