The seriousness President Akufo-Addo attaches to the seat he occupies, would permit him to abandon his duties and attend a debate, former President Mahama has been warned.
Mr. Kusi Boafo stated emphatically that President Akufo-Addo has a lot of work to do and wouldn’t heed to Mr. Mahama’s call for a Presidential debate.
Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Mahama, has called for a debate with President Akufo-Addo. He claims the debate would be based on comparing their respective records.
During his tour to the Oti region, the former President noted that President Akufo- Addo is at liberty to select the moderators and the institution that he wants to organise the debate.
But Mr. Kusi Boafo responded to the former President on the Wontumi Morning Show by stating that “our president is serious and he has no time for you.”
According to him, it would be a total waste of time for President Akufo-Addo to debate Mr. Mahama. “He (President Akufo-Addo) has work to do and you want him to come and waste his time on you?” he quizzed.
