The Municipal Chief Executive Of Akuapem South, Hon. Frank Aidoo, has made a strong case for the NPP to be given another four year mandate to continue its good works spread across the country.

Hon Aidoo, who took his turn at the daily exposure given to the NPP’s monumental physical achievements in a special science and data programme on Wontumi TV/ Radio in Kumasi called Election 2020 on Monday made an emphatic statement:

“Majority of the voters in my Municipality have already made up their mind to vote massively for Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and the Parliamentary candidate, Hon O.B. Amoah, in the December election. “

Chronicling the achievements relative to his Municipality on the Akuapem Mountains overlooking the Accra Plains, Hon Aidoo said all sub-sectors of the economy have benefitted from the government’s massive infrastructural development.

Viewers and listeners alike were dumbfounded when he disclosed that “over 30,000 coconut seedlings and 20,000 palm seedlings have been distributed to farmers in the area “
“Additionally, 300,000 pineapple suckers and 600 bags of fertilizers have been distributed.” He noted

On health which is a major priority of the government, he said a 40-bed capacity hospital is under construction at Aburi, the District capital. Aside this there has been the construction of CHPs compound in some deprived communities.

“Water and sanitation plays a vital role in proper environmental management so we have focused on the provision of facilities that will make life comfortable for residents in communities without access to potable water.” Hon Aidoo said.

According to him, 31 communities have been provided with mechanized bore hole while 16 water closet toilet facilities have been constructed for the residents of Asuaafum .

“We have put up a 1- seater WC Toilet facility at the main Aburi Market, a 10-seater WC toilet facility in three other communities including Pokorom market and another 20-seater WC toilet facility at Domeabra as well as Gyankama.”

“The multi-purpose sports court which also serves as a rest stop has become a keep fit haven in order words, a sort of a “hiking tourism centre” with patrons at each particular time running into hundreds.” The MCE explained.

The poor nature of roads which continues to be the nation’s major social problem manifested in the Akuapem South MCE’s presentation. Significantly, all the MMDA’s who have featured on Wontumi TV/Radio always have a sad story to tell anytime they touch on the issue of roads. But according to Hon.
