Agric Ministry Assesses Farmers Under Planting For Food And Jobs
The Food and Agricultural Ministry, has started touring some parts of the country to assess the performance of farmers engaging in the planting for food and jobs program.
The Ministry will start the tour from the Ahafo Region thus Goaso where President Akufo-Addo launched the PFJ programme in his first term.
From Goaso, the Ministry will proceed to Sunyani, Techiman, Ashanti Region and climax the tour in the Eastern Region on Saturday.
This was revealed by the sector PRO, Issah Alhassan on Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio/TV
He noted that the Ministry does this annually to encourage the farmers and address their challenges.
He said, the motive of the tour is for the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Hon. Akoto Osei to asses, find facts, and have interactions with the farmers.
Issah Alhassan emphasized that, the main motive of the tour is to meet the Regional Ministers, Agric Extension Officers, input dealers, fertilizer producers, agriculture representatives for engagement.
According to the Agric PRO, the sector Minister will inspect the work done on the construction of the warehouse at the various areas he will visit.
