The Paramount chief of Agogo Traditional Area in Asante Akyim North, Nana Akuoko Sarpong has called on political parties and electorates to prioritize peace, as the nation approaches general elections.
He made this call when the Ashanti regional chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako widely known as Chairman Wontumi toured the municipality on Wednesday, August 21,2024.
He believes that this is a crucial moment for unity amongst Ghanaians, emphasising the need for peace.
He further entreated political parties to avoid provocative actions that could lead to conflict.
“All I want is peace. Everyone is welcome to my house anytime. This is the time we need to work together as one people. Let us set aside our differences and forge peace in the upcoming election. It is very significant in this period” he said.
