Afoko Praises Vetting Committee, Says Process Was “Fair and “Firm

National Chairman aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Paul Afoko has sung praises to the vetting committee of the party’s National Executive Elections commending them for the type of questions he was asked when he appeared before them.

The Chairman aspirant after his vetting said the committee chaired by former Sanitation Minister, Madam Cecilia Dapaah was “fair and firm” in their line of questioning.

“The process I believe was fair, it was firm and in fact there was a lot of frank discussion and the calibre of the committee is not small,” he said.

The former Chairman said he did not anticipate being quizzed on certain topics or issues adding that the questions have given him a lot of insight on the steps he is to take when he becomes Chairman.

“Some of them I am definitely going to include them in my strategy planning for the party,” he added.

Mr. Afoko believes he gave the committee suitable replies to every question he was asked.
The vetting of the aspirants has started after filing of nominations ended on Saturday August 29, 2026 at exactly 6:00 pm.

A total of 47 aspirants will be vetted in the week as the vetting is set to end on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
