Afari Military Hospital 95% Complete, Equipment Not Wasting- Deputy Defence Minister

The Deputy Minister for Defence, Hon. Lawyer Kofi Amankwah Manu has flatly denied a video circulating on social media that the MRI and CT scans plus other equipment at the Afari Military hospital have been abandoned.

According to him, the said equipment as captured in the alleged video is not at the hospital adding that the equipment are rather in a bonded warehouse at Tema.

Speaking on the Friday edition of Wontumi Radio/Morning Show, Lawyer Amankwah Manu was emphatic that the hospital has not been handed over to the government.

The Deputy Minister for Defence said the hospital is 95% complete.

“What is left is some funds to be given to the contractor to finish the project and we are hopeful that the project would be handed over to the government by end of the year,” he said.
