The Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabere North, Hon. Collins Adomako Mensah has bemoaned the tragic and bankruptcy comments made by former President John Mahama.
Former president John Dramani Mahama reacted to the government’s announcement that certain categories of its external debt repayments cannot be honoured per agreed terms.
The government through the Ministry of Finance statement dated Monday, December 19 said it will suspend all debt service payments under certain categories of the country’s external debt component.
Speaking on Wontumi Morning Show, the Afigya Kwabere North MP said that bankruptcy is a very strong word.
He said it’s very telling for a former President who made Ghanaians sleep in darkness for four years to spew such an unguarded statement.
Adomako Mensah said, “there will be a time we will do the politics and campaign aspect of it but now there is the need to build the country.”
