Adhere To Protocols, COVID-19 Has No Vaccine- NPP Secretary Advises

 

Ashanti Regional Secretary for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sam Pyne has advised Ghanaians to comply with the COVID-19 preventive measures.

 

He noted that, there are no vaccines to cure the virus so Ghanaians should protect themselves from contracting the disease.

 

Speaking on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show, Sam Pyne said that, people must obey the instructions by the health experts in protecting themselves from the pandemic.

 

“We must avoid overcrowding at places”, he appealed.

 

The NPP Regional Secretary questioned that, those accusing politicians spreading the coronavirus during the 2020 election campaign why didn’t they also protect themselves?

 

COVID-19 Cases In Ghana

 

Ghana has recorded 772 new COVID-19 cases. This pushes the country’s active case count to 5,515.

 

This was contained in an update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

 

 

The update also indicated announced eight new COVID-19 deaths have been recorded.

 

This also raises the death toll to 424.

 

Ghana since the outbreak of the pandemic has recorded a total of 67,782 infections and 61,843 recoveries.

 

Meanwhile, 119 and 41 patients are currently in severe and critical conditions.
