John Mahama has been named by the Ashanti Regional Chairman as part of the group of persons in the National Democratic Congress, who are rejoicing over the death of their party’s founder, the late former President Jerry John Rawlings.
In an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, wondered why the flagbearer of the NDC did not observe a one week break from political campaign in honor of his founder.
“Your founder is dead and you didn’t give him respect. For someone who couldn’t observe one week, he can’t be trusted to give him a befitting burial”, the NPP Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi said of John Mahama.
He called on the family of late former President Rawlings to wake up and prevent John Mahama and his group from denigrating the legacy of the NDC founder.
“John Mahama is jealous of Rawlings. The family of Rawlings must take the NDC back, the time to act is now. Mahama wants the legacy of Rawlings to vanish”, Chairman Wontumi said.
