A renowned Private Legal Practitioner has explained the legal and moral implications of Sexual harassment and Abuse on female workers on Wontumi TV audience.
According to him, sexual harassment is an act where one partner will not be interested in sexual advanses by her partner while the abuse is also an act where someone will try to forcebly have sex with his partner in a wrongful way.

Lawyer Ampaw in an interview on Mmra Ne Abrabo Mu Nsem on Wontumi Radio/TV lamented that, sexual harassment is common at work places adding that in several cases, the managers or senior personnel take undue advantage of the vulnerability of their female workers to harass them sexually.

He said there is the tendency that if a lady is harassed sexually at the work place, she panics anytime she goes to work.

He added that, sexual harassment leads to low productivity because it can create a situation where indiscipline replaces the culture of dedication and commitment at the work place


“In such a situation an environment is created where adherence to the rules is reduced because the existing work ethics is flatly disregarded. it also impacts negatively on productivity in the work place because the lady who has an intimate relationship with her boss is bound to perform abysmally.

Lawyer Ampaw told Obaa Adwoa Nelson Aweh, the hostess, “sexual harassment doesn’t allow the ladies to effectively contribute their quota to increase productivity at the work place.”

” There have been occasions where top management personnel such as Accountants and secretaries have even gotten themselves involved in romance in the office.” He noted

According to Lawyer Ampaw, if staff engage themselves in sexual acts it leads to the collapse of organisations.

Lawyer Ampaw affirmed that, sexual harassment by senior staff against their female counterparts can also create confusion and enmity among staff.

He said that, Women also do harass men by passing unnecessary comments about their physical features and even the clothes the put on..

“When married men receive such needless compliments, it could also amount to harassment, adding that the law forbids it.” He stressed

Meanwhile, the Private Legal Practitioner has given a number of reasons why sex should be promoted among couples. .

He explained that, God created sex for procreation, to seal marriage and to enable couples to derive satisfaction in marriage aside this sex reduces blood pressure and makes men look young and healthy.
