The Bono Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC is currently ill and on admission at a hospital.
He comments comes shortly after the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) invited Abronye DC to their office yesterday.
He is therefore appealing to the police to take into account Abronye DC’s health condition stating that he had to be rushed to the hospital due to ill health after the police released him yesterday.
Abronye DC was released by the Ghana Police Service following his arrest on Monday, 13th April, 2026.
Abronye DC is said to have honored the directive to report back to the CID as part of ongoing investigations.
According to Bono Regional Secretary for the NPP, Abronye DC is unwell and needs medical attention.
“Abronye is sick and needed to be moved to the hospital. He is law abiding and made himself available when the police needed him yesterday”, he said.
