A/R: Tepamanhene Names President Akufo-Addo As “King of Asphalt”

The Omanhene of Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency, Nana Antwerewaa Ampem VI has heaped praises on President Akufo-Addo giving him a new title, “King of Asphalt”.

Nana Antwerewaa Ampem VI explained that, soon, the Mankranso stretch to his area would be asphalted all because of the good policies of Nana Addo the ‘King of Asphalt’.

According to the Tepamanhene, who was speaking at the commissioning of Tepa government hospital ceremony monitored by wontumionline.com John Mahama constructed some roads in the area and Akufo-Addo has also developed developed the Maabeng town roads.

Nana Owusu Achiaw reports that Nana Antwerewaa Ampem VI commended President Akufo-Addo for the completion and commissioning of the Tepa Government Hospital.

He said that the project was started by former President Kufuor but his era elapsed and left power.

He added that, the Late Professor John Evans Mills also continued the project during his tenure as well as former President John Mahama and now President Akufo-Addo has completed and commissioned the hospital.

Nana Antwerewaa VI said that since President assumed office he and the Health Minister, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu have paid so much attention to the project.

“What you have done for Tepa is marvelous. You have constructed two big dormitories at Tepa Senior High School. Our children have benefited from the free Senior High School. Ahafo Ano North says thank you,” he said.

He appealed to His Excellency to give a face lift to a shopping mall which was started by John Mahama adding that when the shopping mall is completed, it will enhance the development of the area.

“Tepa Nursing Training School lacks dormitory and Mabeng Secondary School is in bad shape, so we are appealing to you to come to our aid.”

He said, “we are praying you get long life and get the spirit of perseverance to continue your good works.”

For his part, President Akufo-Addo exhibited happiness to commission the Tepa Government Hospital.

He said that, the hospital started in former President Kufour’s era and got stalled when the NDC took over.

The ECOWAS Chairman appealed to the Tepamanhene and the residents to care for the hospital well because of its huge investment.

He commended the contractor for the excellent work done.

“The Market that you said John Mahama started, we haven’t left it out. I just heard it. I will meet the local Minister to address it as well as the Dormitory in the Tepa Nursing Training School.”

Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, said that he is happy at long last the hospital has been completed because the President was always on his nerves asking him if it has been completed.

He indicated that, the hospital facility is extraordinary adding that most of the Regions in the country don’t have such.

Mr Agyemang Manu affirmed that, everybody in the area should embark on an excursion to the hospital to check the equipment installed.

He appealled to the youth to allow the aged to be the biggest beneficiaries of the hospital.

“Akufo-Addo has dealt with Tepa very well so the four more for Nana must come to past. Vote for him and see what he will do for the country,” he insinuated.
