A/R: Man Commits Suicide After Shooting Wife To Death (VIDEO)
The people of Asamang New Site in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region have been thrown into a state of shock when news broke that a man has shot and killed his wife following a misunderstanding.
The man, Gambo Bashiru,48, is said to have shot twice at the deceased wife, Ama Laar, 37, who was found lying in a pull of blood, dead.
He reportedly took to his heels after committing the crime but was later overpowered by some of the town folks who allegedly beat him to pulp.
Speaking to Wontumionline, Station Officer of the Asuofua Police, Chief Inspector Offei narrated that the daughter of the deceased came and lodged the complaint at the station.
”The 14 year old daughter told us that his mother has been killed by the father and has run away after the heinous crime,” he said.
Chief Inspector Offei continued that Gambo was later found smeared with a substance suspected to be weedicide and was bleeding profusely as a result of the instant justice meted to him by the town folks.
”We took him to the Asuofua Government Hospital but he died later,” Chief Inspector Offei narrated.
He said the two bodies have been conveyed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for autopsy.
