A/R: Dreams Ladies Donates To Sosuanso M/A Basic School

 

Dreams Ladies group in Kumasi has donated school uniforms and learning materials to needy pupils of the Sosuanso M/A Basic School in the Ejisu Municipal of the Ashanti region.

The president of the ladies group, Evlyn Osei Bonsu said they believed education is an important tool to help groom children into becoming responsible people in societies, the reason for which they chose to embark on the donation.

“We emphasize vulnerable and needy children in deprived communities. We believe that children are essential members of their communities who can, one day, become leaders who bring positive change to their countries by breaking the cycle of poverty and hunger.”

She disclosed that their mission and vision is to empower the needy, people living with disability, the aged and the less privilege.

She called on individuals to support Sosuanso schools with teaching and learning materials and other social amenities to improve their livelihood.

The headteacher Mr Pius Agyeman who received the donation on behalf of the school received the learning materials on behalf of the school, thanked the ladies group for the gesture.

He said some of the pupils were brilliant and needed support to encourage them to study and become responsible citizens. “Your intervention has come at the right time,” he quipped.

He highlight on the deplorable nature of their roads networks, appeals to government to come to their aid.


Appreciation

The students expressed appreciation to Dreams Ladies and was grateful they came all the way from Kumasi to support the school with the items.

“We are thankful to Dreams Ladies for taking up such a project and choosing our school to make their donation. We wish to use this opportunity to call on other NGOs and individuals to contribute to such a good cause in order to help us get proper education,” they said.
