A/R: Agric Ministry Provides 330 Motorbikes, 43 Pickups, 2 V8 To Farmers
The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has provided 330 motorbikes, 43 pickups and 2 V8 vehicles to farmers in the Ashanti Region.
This is to facilitate farming activities in the various agriculture modules.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah disclosed this during a the Ministry of Agriculture’s engagement with stakeholders in Kumasi.
Hon. Simon Osei Mensah told Wontumionline’s Nana Owusu Achiaw that, the equipment has helped the mobility of staff and also enhanced the agriculture activities in the Region.
He commended the sector Minister, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto for the kind gesture done the farmers.
“We are grateful to you for the provision of structures and equipment to support agriculture activities in the Region,” he told the sector Minister.
Hon. Osei Mensah was notable that, the various modules like the Planting for Food and Jobs, rearing for food et al are all going on very well.
