Two national officers of the New Padtriotic Party (NPP) deliberately set Charles Bissue up because he was blocking their illegal mining operations and sold the tape to Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Kwame Baffoe has revealed.
The Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye, dropped this bombshell on Wontumi TV’s Nsempa Fie Show last Saturday.
According to him, the investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, never put effort into filming former Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), but purchased the tape from the group that deliberately set Bissue up.
“The secret is that Anas never caught Bissue on tape. The story is that there was a national officer of the NPP who sent his constituency Youth Organizer to the office of Bissue to secretly record him. Anas was never in the office of Bissue to record him”, Abronye revealed.

Charles Bissue suffered this predicament because he had refused to yield to calls by the two NPP officers to allow them operate their illegal mining business, Abronye noted.
“They (NPP officers) called Bissue and because he knew them, he allowed them into his office only for them to come with an agenda of recording him and giving it to Anas to blow it”, Abronye added.
He however condemned Mr. Bissue for accepting to take money from the Constituency Organizer even though he knows him noting that he (Bissue) is bigger than the officer and shouldn’t have taken anything from him.
