LGBTQ+ Is Not Natural – Bagbin Maintains Opposition

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has reiterated his strong stance against LGBTQ+ activities, asserting that these practices will not be recognized or legalized in Ghana.

During his visit to Uganda, Speaker Bagbin emphasized that the cultural and moral values of Ghana do not accommodate LGBTQ+ orientations. He further expressed the view that any attempts to introduce or normalize such practices are perceived as foreign impositions.

“You can be sure that the world they want to create and impose on us will not exist while we are alive. LGBT is not African, it is not natural, and God did not create it. This is an imposition that we must all resist,” he stated.

His comments come as Ghana, like many other African nations, continues to deliberate on the controversial criminalization of LGBTQ+ activities.
