Member of Parliament (MP) for Effiduase-Asokore, Hon. Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie, has declared he will sue the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Apostle Dr Owusu Bempah, after the latter alleged that Ayew Afriyie and other NPP members had plotted to attack him.
The MP made the claim during an interview with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi TV’s morning show. Asked about his reaction to the viral claims by Dr Owusu Bempah, Ayew Afriyie said he did not take the allegations lightly.
Dr Afriyie said he does not have a personal relationship with Owusu Bempah, nor does he attend his church.
“I don’t even know him, I don’t go to his church, he is not my friend, for him to allege I have said I would attack him,” he stated.
He said Owusu Bempah should meet him in court and prove his allegations, adding that he had contacted his lawyer, Andy Appiah-Kubi, and sent him videos related to the matter.
“I want to do everything I can to ensure that I send Dr Owusu Bempah to court for him to prove to me where he had the information that I want to attack him,” he said in a fiery tone, adding, “if he does not shame me, I will shame him.”
Dr Afriyie stressed, however, that the matter could only be settled if Dr Owusu Bempah asked for forgiveness.
“What he said if he does not go back to retract and ask for forgiveness, I will sue him in court,” he said.
