Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has dismissed reports of audio or video evidence linking him to extortion, urging the public to disregard the claims.
According to him, he has carried out his duties as a Member of Parliament with dignity and without recklessness.
Speaking to journalists when cultural troupes from Winneba visited his residence in Accra, Afenyo-Markin said he has taken legal action to clear his name.
He also acknowledged his predecessors in the NPP’s minority leadership and vowed not to undermine the office or take the party for granted. Afenyo-Markin said he remains committed to his duties and will not lose focus.
Minority Leader added that the legal action he took against the extortion allegations remains effective, urging the public to disregard any news or attempt suggesting the case has been reversed or withdrawn from court.
He added that he has resorted to legal action to clear his name.
