‎NPP Ashanti Regional Elections: Voting To Be Held On August 15 – Atta Sarpong

The Ashanti Regional Deputy Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kweku Atta Sarpong, has provided further updates on the party’s upcoming regional internal elections scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.

‎Speaking in an interview with Kweku Fokua on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Atta Sarpong disclosed that voting will commence at 8:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.

‎He explained that all delegates are required to obtain an accreditation card before accessing their respective polling centres.

‎“Each delegate will be given an accreditation card before coming to vote. Without accreditation, you will not be allowed to enter the polling centre. Every delegate must also come along with their party card or a valid Ghana Card, NHIS card, or driver’s license for proper identification.”

‎Mr. Atta Sarpong further revealed that approximately 1,200 delegates are expected to participate in the election. He said the delegate albums have already been delivered and urged delegates who identify any discrepancies in the albums to report them ahead of the election day so the issues can be resolved promptly.

‎He also announced that urgent accreditation cards for aspirants will be issued on Friday, August 14, before 5:00 p.m., with media accreditation taking place within the same timeframe.
