Three time Ashanti Regional Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Zeinabu Sallow, has called on delegates in the Ashanti Region to support her bid to become the party’s Second Vice Chairperson, citing commitment to duty, accountability, and respect as her core traits.
Speaking to journalists at Dr. Bawumia’s campaign office in Asokwa, where she picked up her nomination forms, Hajia Zeinabu touted her long service in the party, saying her contribution has been felt at its grassroots for years.
“I have served as Regional Treasurer three solid times. I started as a polling station women’s organiser and was later part of President Kufuor’s appointment as a KMA official,” she said.
She appealed to delegates to assess her character, saying: “I have strong faith in God that when He leads me and I become Second Vice Chairperson, I will respect my Chairman and serve with humility.”
Hajia Zeinabu also expressed her wish to see Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia become president, adding that she wants to be part of that anticipated victory.
She pointed to her record of touring all constituencies in the Ashanti Region during her tenure as Regional Treasurer as evidence of her commitment to duty.
“There is no single constituency in the Ashanti Region that I have not worked in. Everyone knows how committed and responsible I am,” she said.
On accountability and fairness, she added: “When I became treasurer, no financial irregularities took place.”
Hajia Zeinabu expressed confidence that delegates will heed her appeal and elect her as the Ashanti Region’s Second Vice Chairperson, saying she has what it takes to lead.
