The Action Alliance Party (AAP), is a political party with a strong resolve to challenge the dominance of Ghana’s two major political parties.
It offer a people-centered leadership alternative focused on youth empowerment, job creation, and anti-corruption.
Mr Namuru Tahiru, the party’s founder, said AAP was born because Ghana deserved a political platform that put the people first.
The party’s symbol, a tractor, reflects its strong focus on agriculture as a pathway to economic transformation and employment creation.
“AAP places farmers at the centre of its economic agenda because a thriving agricultural sector means a thriving Ghana”, Mr Tahiru said.
He outlined plans to improve irrigation, reduce input costs, and expand market access as part of efforts to improve the agricultural sector.
According to him, it was founded on the ideology of inclusivity, accountability, and service with a mission to support and promote inclusive development.
He’s optimistic that AAP would “break the duopoly” of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 general election to address the deficiencies in the country’s political leadership, including the fight against corruption.
