
Operatives from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) have reportedly stormed the residence of former Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, in Kumasi.
According to information gathered by Wontumi News, Mr. Jumah was not at home at the time of the operation
Hanna Adu, daughter of Mr. Jumah, spoke to Wontumi News and gave a first-hand account of the incident, she initially responded to a knock at the main gate, where an individual claimed they had a letter of invitation for her father. Upon informing them that Mr. Jumah was not at home, she said the officers requested his contact number.
However, the situation has escalated shortly after, as additional operatives arrived at the scene. Hanna Adu alleged that the team forcefully entered the house, breaking doors and conducting a thorough search across multiple rooms in an attempt to locate her father.

“They had a letter of invitation for my father. I told them he wasn’t home, but they still forced their way in, searched all the rooms and took away items.”
She further claimed that items including an HP laptop, a set of keys, and a number of documents found in the house. The raid did not end without damage she said the team broke down room doors, destroyed the home’s CCTV surveillance system, and left the rooms in disarray.
