9-Year- Old Boy Commits Suicide In Kumasi After Watching Video On The Recent Sunyani Suicide Victim
A 9 year old class 3 pupil of New Age International school at Atonsu Dompoase in Kumasi, Christian Bobie Ansah has allegedly, committed suicide at Afful Nkwanta.
Family soures strongly suspect the little boy was influenced by the recent tragic death of Leticia Kyere Pinamang by trying to dramatize the circumstance after watching footages of the sad incident on TV.
Narrating the incident to the media, the grandmother of the deceased, Ante Maggi, explained that, the incident occurred onThursday afternoon after she had returned from the market.
She said, Christian had a penchant of dramatizing every fascinating act that he encountered especially, those on the television screens.
She narrated that , Christian performed one of such stunts when he heard of the news report on Leticia’s death but was halted when he made the initial attempt to practice how to commit suicide.
In her own explanation, Christian’s suicide attempt eluded her during which he gathered some friends of his to a place where they could practice how best they could attempt the terrifying act.
“However, the intervention of some neighbours saved the situation , until yesterday when he secretly went straight to his grandmother’s room alone to attempt to commit the act leading to his sad end.” She recalled.
