The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) boss, Hon. Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, says 47% of Ghanaians will vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) come election 2024.
”The NPP government have sympathy for the poor and less privileged- our policies are geared towards improving their well being. It started from President Kufuor’s era with the free National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) policy and the free maternal care policy. When Nana Addo assumed power he continued with the legacy of his former boss”, Hon Kokofu said.
He went on to say, ‘’now NDC’s wants the cancelation of these policies. But they have never talked about the cancelation of the ex gratia. Is that not expenditure on government? Some of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP’s took double salaries yet they are not talking about refunding the money but they are rather pointing hands on the policies that are supporting the widow and the poor’’.
He further stated that, ”If we don’t do our best and power mistakenly lands in the hands of the NDC, Ghanaians are going to suffer”.
He stressed that the party landed on the shoulders of John Boadu to regain power for the NPP in the 2016 elections.
“2024 needs tried and tested faces to break the 8”, he stated.
