Legislator for Afigya Kwabere North Constituency, Hon. Collins Adomako Mensah has fired the National Executive Council of the NDC over the reshuffling of its leadership in Parliament.
The NDC party on Tuesday 24/01/2023 announced a reshuffle of its leadership in Parliament. The Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu and the Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak, both with close to 20 years of experience in Parliament were all changed as leaders of the Caucus.
According to Hon. Adomako Mensah, if the NDC wants to present a candidate who is an economist and has rejigged Lawyer Haruna Iddrisu then John Mahama should fend off.
Speaking on Wontumi TV Morning Show he said that is the case then the opposition party should present Economist, Dr Kwabena Duffour as their flagbearer for the 2024 general elections.
He said the NPP is consecrated with several economists.
He fumed that there should have been extensive consultations before embarking on the exercise.
