2024 BUDGET SHOULD PROVIDE A RELIEF FOR GHANAIANS – DR FRAND BANNOR

An economist, Frank Bannor this morning took viewers and listeners of Wontumi TV and Rio through lessons on what to expect in the impending 2024 budgets statement to be delivered to the nation by Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Attah.

Mr Bannor said the Finance Minister’s statement will have to focus extensively on how the economy has improved especially given the value of the Cedi against the Dollar as the basis of explaining the success of the government’s micro economic policies.

“What most Ghanaians are expecting today is that the finance minister will not add any tax to the existing once and make sure they do away with others that will help majority of the people. He should also give us a progress report to give more confidence that government is accountable to the taxes that we pay that has to do we the revenue enhancement bill passed by parliament and how it has impacted in the lives of the citizen and traders”
