The much publicised intended strike action by communicators of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been called off. This follows an engagement by the General Secretary of the NPP,  Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua with the Director of Communications as well as other stakeholders late last night. The National Peace Council has urged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to return to the Inter Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meetings which it has boycotted for several months. Joana Adzoa Opare, Chairperson of the Conflict Resolution Committee of the National Peace Council, made the remark during a meeting with leaders of various political parties yesterday. The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has suspended the operations of food vending joint, Yellow Sisi after a food contamination incident left one dead and 53 others hospitalized. The action follows the environmental assessment of the food preparation site located at Malejor and three vending sites at Bush Canteen, Prison Joint, and Sharp Curve Joint by the FDA and Ghana Health Service (GHS). The Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned the general public against unscrupulous persons who may likely defraud guardians under the pretext of securing placement for their wards into their supposed preferred senior high schools.
